| Show anger over adjournment of House; expose MLAs, media told |
Mute protest: BJP legislators G. Kishan Reddy and P . Dorababu, staging a sit-in in the Assembly lobbies in Hyderabad on Thursday.
HYDERABAD: Their numerical strength in the Assembly may not be much and their voice may often be lost in the din.
But on Thursday two BJP MLAs -- G. Kishen Reddy and P. Dora Babu -- staged a novel protest soon after the House was adjourned within an hour, to convey their message to all political parties to facilitate proper functioning.
Terming the abrupt adjournment “unfortunate”, Mr. Kishen Reddy held the Government, Speaker and all the political parties responsible for it and sat on a “dharna” inside the House for sometime and then in the lobbies. “As a mark of protest we will be here till 1.30 p.m. when the House is normally adjourned for the day.”
He wanted the media to expose MLAs irrespective of their party affiliations responsible for want only obstructing the House.
